1. Who We Are
Custom Elements is owned and operated by DSNMRK LLC ("DSNMRK," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information in connection with the website custom-elements.com and the Custom Elements WordPress plugin suite (together, the "Services").
DSNMRK LLC is the data controller for personal information described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you create an account, purchase a license, or contact support, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Billing address
- Company or agency name (optional)
- Any information you include in support requests
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your full card number, expiration date, and security code are submitted directly to Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive from Stripe a transaction record containing your name, billing address, email address, the last four digits of your payment method, card brand, and transaction status.
License and plugin data
When Custom Elements plugins are activated, deactivated, or checks the status of a license key, it transmits the following to our license server:
- License key
- The domain name of the site where the plugin is installed
- Plugin and version identifiers
- WordPress and PHP version
- IP address of the requesting server
We use this data solely to validate active licenses, enforce site limits, and deliver plugin updates. The plugin does not collect, transmit, or store personal information belonging to visitors of sites where it is installed.
Automatically collected website data
When you visit custom-elements.com, we automatically collect IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps.

You may opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such message. Opting out does not stop transactional messages related to your account or license.
4. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We share personal information with the following categories of service providers, only to the extent necessary for them to perform services for us and under contractual obligations of confidentiality:

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential functions — account authentication, shopping cart, checkout, and fraud prevention. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics — measuring page views, referral sources, and general usage patterns.
We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use custom-elements.com. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes information including your IP address and a randomly generated identifier. Google's use of this data is governed by its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Our analytics tools may process IP addresses and persistent identifiers that can constitute personal data under certain privacy laws. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout and account access from working.
Stripe sets cookies on our checkout pages for fraud detection and payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
6. Data Retention
- Account and license records — retained for the life of the account and for 3 years after the last active license expires.
- Transaction and tax records — retained for 7 years to satisfy accounting and tax obligations.
- Support correspondence — retained for 3 years from the date of the last message.
- License activation logs — retained for 24 months.
- Analytics data — retained for 26 months.
We delete or anonymize personal information when it is no longer needed for the purposes described above.
7. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and regular software updates. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Data Transfers
We operate from the United States, and personal information is processed and stored there. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
Where required, transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland are made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved transfer mechanism.
9. Your Rights
All users
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may request a copy of your data in a portable format, by contacting us using the details in Section 12.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to request correction; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly process the sensitive personal information categories defined by the CPRA.
We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
10. Agency and Reseller Customers
If you purchase Custom Elements to build or maintain websites for your own clients, you remain the controller of any personal data processed on those sites. The Custom Elements plugin does not transmit end-user or site-visitor data to us. Where our processing of personal data on your behalf requires one, we will enter into a Data Processing Agreement; contact us at the address in Section 12 to request one.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
